The animation is lovely; the film is true to the book; it is a marvel that it could be condensed into so short a time. Another film in the series, L'Ile Mysterieuse, I enjoyed even more. Funny that they omitted 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Verne's most famous book, and From the Earth to the Moon. I was reminded of the stunningly beautiful work of Stephane Heuet, who condensed Proust into a series of graphic novels.
